ACCA/DACCA was formed in Brisbane Australia in 2000 by Larry Attard [our Bon/Brian] . Larry grew up with and had a great deal of admiration for
AC/DC from their very beginning. As its turned out, Larry’s voice is extremely similar to Bon’s (as quoted in Australasian music magazines) and he belts out the late great front man’s material with ease. At one stage in the early 80’s it was thought Angus and Malcolm Young (AC/DC) were considering Larry for the front man’s job after Bon’s untimely passing, as both Malcolm and Angus were spotted firmly fixed on Larry at a SNAKE gig in Sydney. SNAKE is Larry’s “originals” band and word had obviously reached Malcolm and Angus Young about the uncanny similarity of Larry’s and Bon’s voices . Larry was then called into Alberts studios Sydney to meet with George Young and Harry Vander, however and at the end of the day, the position was given to Brian Johnson.

If you ask Larry Attard he will tell you that forming a band such as ACCA DACCA was the last thing on his mind, nonetheless and with masterful persuasion from fellow muso’s and interested promoters, the decision was made to give it a try , and so was conceived, with jaw dropping results, ACCA DACCA !

David YOUNG [Angus] Has recently left his home in London England to join up with ACCA DACCA prior to his move Dave was Angus for a UK based AC/DC tribute, To state the obvious YOUNG was almost born for this part with those distinctive knobby knees and repeat offender looks. In full uniform David rules the stage like the wayward schoolboy himself. David rips out Angus solo’s note for note along with the explosive Angus stage antics that would defy even the hardest of critics to find a difference.

The back line is phenomenal, with Mat Rath [our Malcolm] stabilizing the foundations with that hard hitting, heavy guitar sound we all know is AC/DC. Bass playing is superbly controlled by James Macentire [our Cliff] while drumming is “pounded” out in true Rock n Roll Train style byJesse Attard [our Phil Rudd] .Jess is all of 15 years old but can hold his own against the finest rock drummer "HE'S A MONSTER OF A DRUMMER"

Together with 25,000 watts of sound and a huge light show, while using exactly the same instruments as AC/DC themselves, ACCA/DACCA looks, performs, and most importantly and unmistakeably, sounds identical to AC/DC !!

ACCA/DACCA tours constantly, not only throughout Australia, but New Zealand and Indonesia have now been conquered with rave reviews from local press and the booked venues that the band absolutely overwhelmed on those tours !

ACCA DACCA recently performed as the house band for the season opening of Australia’s Channel 9 NRL Footy Show from Sydney. Any other band in the land could have been seconded to open this widely known and muched watched show, however ACCA DACCA was Channel 9’s preferred choice ! ACCA DACCA was then invited back to do the big
“ On the Road ” NRL Footy Show in May , performing to a live audience of 3000 at Suncorp Piazza Brisbane and which was broadcast out to a reported 5million viewers in Australia and New Zealand. Channel 9 Executives were over the moon with the obvious extra energy and the “not being able take your eyes off the show” factor that Acca Dacca’s performance brought to their famous broadcast on the night !

The ACCA/DACCA show ALWAYS delivers a full earth shattering 2 hours & 15 mins non stop mind blowing performance where the punters are taken on a one way ride on the Highway to Hell through such Bon Scott classics as Dirty Deeds, T.N.T, The Jack , Rosie, Let There Be Rock as well as some lesser known classic, but still legendary, Bon Scott tracks .
